Equipment

  • 1 Cooking Pan
  • 1 mortar and pestle.
  • 1 colander
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 Parsley A small bunch with 4-5 branches.
  • 1 can diced tomato 796ml 28fl oz
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 bag seafood medley
  • 1 tablespoon Chicken stock powder
  • 1 cup frozen green peas optional
  • 2 tablespoon papprika

Instructions
 

  • Peel the garlic and crunch it with the parsley on a mortar and pestle until you form a green paste.
  • Cut the onion into small cubes.
  • If you are using frozen seafood, rinse it with fresh water and use a colander to remove the excess of water.
  • Turn on your stove to medium-high, Set the cooking pot on the stove. Pour the oil and heat it.
  • Add the onions once the oil is hot. Stir frequently
  • Once the onions are translucid, add the garlic and parsley paste.
  • Stir and fry for 2 minutes or until the garlic turns golden.
  • Add the can of dice tomatoes and wait until everything starts to boil
  • Add the seafood mix
  • Season with salt, pepper, paprika, Chicken Bouillon Powder, or half a chicken broth cube and a bay leaf.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and let it cook for about 10 minutes. Do not put a lid on the pot.
  • After 10 minutes, add the green peas and let your sauce cook for 5 more minutes until the sauce is thick and the calamari, is soft.
